WEDDINGS & EVENTS Sails on the bay is situated a short drive from Melbourne C.B.D, two minutes from St Kilda. Right on the beach, no more than a single step from the white sands of Elwood Beach. Our dining area is completely surrounded by glass, so you and your guests can take in the million dollar views. The water, the sunset and the West Gate Bridge will provide the ultimate backdrop for your event. We cater for up to 140 guests for a sit down dinner or 180 cinema style conference. Your evening will start with drinks and canapes on arrival, should you wish, whilst viewing the sunset over the bay. Followed by a specific menu selected by you and our event co-ordinator offering your guests entree, main course and dessert if you wish. Throughout the evening we serve Victorian sparkling, red and white wine, with Australian beers, juices and soft drinks. The event room is available until 5.00 pm for lunch functions and evening events start at 6.30 pm at the earliest, finishing at 12.30 am. Please don’t hesitate to contact us if you have any inquiries, or would like to make an appointment to view the room and discuss your needs and requirements in detail. TIMING   All prices quoted are for a maximum period of five hours. Commencing from 11.30 am for lunch and 6.30 p.m. at the earliest for dinner. (Excluding December 7.00 p.m.) The restaurant is available until 5.00 pm for lunch functions and 12.30 for dinner. Extensions of time are available by prior arrangement. Prices available on application. ENTERTAINMENT   Although you provide your own entertainment we are able to offer details of various entertainers who have performed at Sails on the bay. We provide a meal for your entertainers. We accept no fee for our recommendations and feel you should try to see your choice perform prior to your function. CANAPES AND WINE CHOICES   Canapes begin at $8.00 per person, and are usually served for 30 minutes on arrival. We offer a beautiful selection of wines you may choose from or you may choose to upgrade these at an additional cost. Prices available on application.   FLOWERS AND DECORATIONS   Our florist would be happy to quote should you wish table arrangements. Table and interior decor is at your discretion. We have recommendations should you require them. SMOKING AND PARKING   From July 1st 2001 Smoking is prohibited in any food service areas. Attached to our restaurant we have created a small, comfortable smoking room for your guests. Our restaurant is situated in a Port Phillip owned car park and as such incurs a fee for each car. This is charged at $4.00 per car if you purchase your ticket from Sails on the Bay or $2.20 per hour to a maximum of $7.00 if using the council owned machines.
