Just wanted to pass on my thanks to staff/management for convening a great night for me and my guests on Saturday on the Terrace for my 50th birthday celebrations. All guests had a great time. I received plenty of positive feedback on the food, the venue/location (and drinks). Please pass on a special thankyou to the two staff members that provided our service (a gentleman and young lady) - whose names were given to me on more than one occassion - but the memory loss I am experiencing for Saturday evening was possibly alcohol induced! On Friday night 20th March, 2009 I celebrated my sons' 21st Birthday @ Sails on the bay. An absolutely beautiful event, that thrilled all that attended, especially my son and our family. The staff were at all times gracious and pleasant, enthusiastic and thorough: the food was exceptional and service likewise.
The birthday cake was gorgeous, looked sensational and scrumptuous on the plate.
Please extend my heartfelt thanks to each of your staff as our party would never have been as memorable without each of you.
The "mocktails" were a big hit also - thank you to all your bar staff that took care of drinks.
Sails will always be at the top of our list when planning future events.

We would just like to say a big thank you to Sails and the staff for a fantastic afternoon on Saturday for our engagement do - we and everyone else had a fantastic day.
I unfortunately forget the name of the girl who was overseeing service, but she and the rest of the team did a really brilliant job, particularly because you hardly noticed their presence, every plate was meticulously delivered to the correct person over every course and drinks service was fantastic from first to last. We got a little behind from the start with people struggling to get there on time because of heavy traffic on Saturday and yet your staff again made it all very easy for us to run a little bit over without making us feel rushed. Even if this did cause a little concern to your staff about timing, it certainly wasn't conveyed to us at all and the afternoon flowed superbly. They also accommodated an extra person at late notice with minimal fuss.
I would be grateful if you could let me know the particular staff member's name, but pass on a big thanks and our appreciation to her and all of them for such a professional job. Thank you also for your work with the menu, numbers, etc, it left us with nothing to worry about on the day!
We will definitely be recommending Sails to other people for a similar function.

I just want to thank you and all at Sails who made our dinner so lovely last Saturday night. The room looked beautiful when we arrived and the view across the bay at sunset was just as I hoped it would be. The meal was perfect and everyone commented on the wonderful range of choices and the quality of the food. The wines were all excellent, especially the Sauvignon Blanc and the Cabernet Sauvignon. Could you please pass on my thanks to Leanne for her guidance with the wine selection; she was "spot on" with her suggestions. The staff were attentive and unobtrusive. The flowers were gorgeous. All in all, it was just what I'd been hoping for, so thank you very much for your help in the planning and execution of the night. Everyone seemed to enjoy themselves and I certainly did! Thanks again for a great night.

We had a lovely time — the night just flew by — and all of our guests were most enthusiastic about the location and the food, which drew high praise (and the wine, for that matter).
The word ‘elegant’ cropped up a lot in people’s thank-you’s to us, which is something we wanted.

Hi, I just wanted to praise your restaurant. I had dinner there on Tuesday 1st April and it was a wonderful experience. The reason I chose to dine at your restaurant is because I have booked my wedding at Sails on the Bay for July this year and basically just wanted to try the food.
I was very impressed with 2 of your waiting staff, unfortunately I don't recall their names.
One waitress had an accent (possibly USA) and was lovely and helpful and the second was
a waiter. I spoke to him about the meals because I have some food allergies and I would have to say he was
the most helpful and obliging waiter I have ever come across in regards to my food allergy problems. He even came back to me and double checked if I was ok with some of the ingredients.
He and the chef were more than happy to accommodate me which was fantastic. Most restaurants
treat me as though I am a nuisance, but not your restaurant.
I can't wait to come back to celebrate my wedding reception in July! Thank-you

We would like to thank you Tanja, Vito and Khom for being so helpful in arranging Neil's birthday dinner on Saturday night. The room looked absolutely fantastic and to say our guests were impressed would be an understatement. The food and wine were excellent. Compliments to the Chef, and the birthday cake absolutely delicious - thanks Pastry Chef.
But most of all the service was amazing. Please convey a very big thank you to Graham and Michelle for being so attentive and obliging to all our guests and making our night a great success. Just to say, What a great team you have at "Sails On The Bay". I had lunch today at Linton Garden Centre at Mt. Eliza , These friends are still talking about what a great time everyone had last night at my Birthday Party. I just cannot believe it went so well. These friends just cannot give you enough praise about the service and quality of professionalism ( which we as Celebrants are required to show) and you and your staff certainly had that PLUS. The food was first class and my guests were all saying how pleased they had not eaten before they came as ther were so many varieties and choices. My special thank you to the Chef for my beautiful cake which was enjoyed by everyone even some who do not eat cake had some and said it was "Good".
My son Brett was very impressed as it was as if he had his wedding reception all over again. I am so pleased that I chose "Sails On The Bay" for my special night and I owe it to the two Chris-es , Liz, and Luke who doted
on us all night. They were always ready for any requirements needed by us.
Khom who organized the whole package and you Tanja who followed up my queries so promptly and to Vito who chose the white wine for me. The girls who were drinking white said it was very "delicious " a good choice.
Everyone was happy and having a good time.Once again thank you all for making my" Birthday Night" a very memorable night to remember.I shall never forget it for a long time.

A few of us were quite late (due to a booked taxi’s non-appearance) but this didn’t seem to present a problem, everyone was served at the same time and the waiting staff seemed to find us all even though we swapped places a bit. I recently attended a Professional development day as part of the contingent from St Paul's College (Villa Maria Society) and just wanted to say what a wonderful day I had. The venue was superb and can I also put in a special thank you to the chef and those who served the food (absolutely delicious) and were so helpful...the location was also wonderful and the view from the conference room is outstanding.
